Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft landed based on established safety measures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
